Hi!

I want to upgrade my mouse and keyboard.

I currently use a Deathadder, but the tracking is weird and the clicks are too subtle.

I am looking at 2 mice at the moment. I use a mix of palm and fingertip, where my palm touches the mouse but my fingers have a small space between it and the mouse.

- Zowie EC1-B

- SteelSeries Rival 600

Which is better?

I currently don't have a keyboard, (on my laptop rn) and I am deciding between these 3:

- Ducky Shine 6

- Corsair K70 Lux RGB

What should I choose?

(Blue switches btw)

I'm not sure you're going to end up using all the features of the 600, so take a minute to ensure that its worth the extra $20 to step up from the Rival 310.

Depends on how much RGB control you want, and if you want dedicated media keys. As a K70 owner, I can easily recommend the K70. There is no K70 Platinum, by the way. The next step up would be the K95, which doesn't offer Cherry MX Blues.

Rival 600 is overpriced just because it has overkill sensor and gimmicky lift off distance.

I'd just get the Zowie u wont regret it they has a really safe shape.

and it has one of the best optical sensor PMW3360.

as for the keyboard i'd get the K70 Brown

What does the K70 have over the Ducky and vice versa?

@Homeless Pineapple

1

The K70 has a more flexible suite of dedicated media controls (Play/Pause, Stop, Next Track, Previous Track, Mute, Physical Volume Wheel), individual key RGB customizability with community-made profiles, has a USB passthrough and comes with a wrist rest.

The Ducky has a detachable cable, dedicated volume keys, removable rubber feet, and has side RGB lighting.

Thanks a lot! Does K70 have a better build quality and are the lights bright? I think I might go for the K70 now :D Sorry for all the questions!

@Homeless Pineapple

K70 LUX RGB BTW

Does the zowie have any problems?

No they make the best simple mice ever without tons of gimmick like other gaming manufacturer always does.

Difference between K70 LUX RGB and K70 RGB?

LUX RGB has new controller for a more fluid lighting, USB Pass through and STRAFE keycaps comparing it to the older K70 RGB.

K70 LUX RGB BTW

The K70 LUX is constructed of brushed aluminum. It feels very premium and the keycaps seem to be holding up very well. The lights are bright enough to be seen from any viewing angle. The Ducky Shine 6 is plastic.

The CUE software has also gotten a lot better. If you're willing to spend some time in Advanced mode, you'll be able to make custom profiles in a breeze.

If you are still looking for a mouse, I can VERY STRONGLY recommend the Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum

I use the same style grip as you, and this mouse is VERY comfortable and light, and the "less subtle" clicking you asked for is definitely a feature as well, since it uses a different architecture than normal for main mouse buttons

both wired and wireless modes have a 1ms latency

it is UNBELIEVABLY good, the battery life is insane, 32 hours on full charge, with lighting off mind you, doesn't really make a huge difference anyways

the software for configuring it is also very easy to use, you can see it at the bottom of my post. I took several so you can extensively see the software you would be using before buying the mouse. the software is free by the way and its name is Logitech Gaming Software

Hope my post really helps you out in your decision, this might just the the last gaming mouse I ever buy!

here are some very in depth videos covering this mouse

from LTT

this will be from the viewpoint of someone who has YEARS of experience with FPS games, and the G900 will be compared to several other mice

textured space bar - yes, looks like this

aux output port - no, not mention in the features, and no picture of the backside of the keyboard near where the main cable is, where I would expect it to be found

ALSO you should note that I did not see a Cherry MX blue switch version of the non platinum K95

Blue MX K95.

Also I can't really see the texture on the K95, is there a clearer picture?\

Edit; I just read that it was discontinued :(

Looks like I'll be getting the Ducky.

if this is the one you are talking about....

in my opinion that is a pretty fishy buy

instead of having a solid and durable attached cable, its a micro usb cable going between the computer and keyboard. honestly havent seen that before in a GAMING oriented keyboard, where you would think durability should be a focus point. Have you seen any reviews on it?
