Looking for laptop that can be used for construction engineering studies

I'm starting to take my degree in construction engineering in a week and I need a laptop that can be used to do everything I need from just writing in word to making 3D models in autodesk programs.

I'm not very well know within the laptop ecosystem so I would love to get some suggestions for some good machines.

I have a budget that is around 900$ (740€) any ideas will be very appreciated

where do you live and what program you're using to make 3d models?

ask me about your system builds, AIO's, CPU's, PSU's, and GPU's.

Denmark, mostly Autodesk Revit 2017 and a little Inventor 2018

Get a Thinkpad - you should be able to find a used T470 on ebay in your budget. If you want even more power, buy the P51. In fact, the last-gen P50 is also still a great and powerful machine and it should be even cheaper now.

The site of autodesk splits it into pieces for what the recommended specs are on how difficult the 3d models are for revit.

The recommended specs for Inventor are harsh for your budget tho.

From this assume you need at least 8gb ram (cheapest way to get more is a laptop that has an empty bay and add more later).

A great processor and a DX11 grade videocard.

My conclusion is get a desktop or you'll have to find a great used deal.

take a look on the site of medion for a laptop with an i7 and an 1050ti will probably come the closest to your budget
