Need help for aging parts

most of my computer parts from a pre-built I bought about half a year ago are from 2012, I need to upgrade them but I do not have any money, any help on what I should do while I wait before I can get some money to upgrade?

If you have any knowledge on the matter (youtube always helps), have suitable components and adequate cooling, overclocking is an option to help squeeze every last bit of performance out of your PC while you save up. It might increase the performance by up to 10-15%

Full virus/malware scan. Remove clutter and fix up your startup programs. Make sure you don’t have 100s of currently running programs. Make sure drivers are up to date.

Honestly with old hardware you should install a Linux OS (I recommend Debian) and start saving up. As hardware ages it loses performance, gets hot faster, and newer software puts an even greater demand than before on it. Good luck mate!

What motherboard? The fx 4300 can be overclocked with the right motherboard. 

 

Otherwise, just start saving up for a new cpu/motherboard/ram upgrade.
