As @Coaxialgamer said, just wait for the Ryzen 2000 series to come out. They're supposed to have really good integrated graphics, maybe the equivalent of a GT 1030.

You're trying to spend as little as possible on the GPU but bought a 'premium' motherboard. Should've planned it out better :/. Unless you got it for free or for a bargain or something of course

CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 1600Motherboard - Asus Strix B350-F GAMING, RAM -  Corsair Vengeance RGB 16GB (2x8GB) 3000Mhz CL15, GPU - Asus Strix GTX 1070Ti, Case - Phanteks Eclipse P400S, Storage - Crucial BX300 240GB + Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5", PSU - Corsair CS650M, OS- Win10 Pro

OK This is what I do with pcparts picker.

I filter down to 5 and 4 stars sometimes 3 and 2 stars.

I filter the cost from $5 and up to get rid of the items with no prices.

I sort through price to get an idea of average lower spectrum cost

I sort through stars to get an idea of something I dunno what that is.

I think for the mobo, I did go up a few 10's of dollars. That mobo maybe on sale though right.

On thing I am kicking myself for is I threw out a CX 600W psu when doing the storage purge. I woulda saved $50 minimum!

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/NpcLVY

I chose this gpu just for giggles. With that the total is $430 without psu, no o/s which I plan to not activate W10 trick.

$44.99

That mobo is more expensive than some x370 boards is what I'm saying. On a budget like yours I'd go for a cheaper mobo like this one: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/BDRFf7/msi-b350-gaming-plus-atx-am4-motherboard-b350-gaming-plus
or this one if you don't mind mATX: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/dWL7YJ/asrock-ab350m-pro4-micro-atx-am4-motherboard-ab350m-pro4
(I'm not suggesting out of personal experience but reviews on pcpartpicker)

CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 1600Motherboard - Asus Strix B350-F GAMING, RAM -  Corsair Vengeance RGB 16GB (2x8GB) 3000Mhz CL15, GPU - Asus Strix GTX 1070Ti, Case - Phanteks Eclipse P400S, Storage - Crucial BX300 240GB + Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5", PSU - Corsair CS650M, OS- Win10 Pro

Thanks for pointing that out. I did take another look, can save an extra $30-$40 on the mobo.

I am selling an old pc and building a new one for a friend. Nothing major, not a gaming fps thing at all.

Spent the last hour selecting psu with good rating

CXM but a lower wattage unit, 450W, purely because its tier 3 on LTT and price!

I settled on this

Gigabyte - GeForce GT 1030 2GB Silent Low Profile Video Card

$530

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/n46bnn

Sure beats this

https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883284830CVF

I always find free cases, they are easy to find. Maybe go for shady semi legit w10 Kinguin or something, still dont know about that site.

Should have kept my GTX-650 as well, hopefully both the psu and gpu are stored away, but I got a feeling they were junked.

I will wait until new amd cpu comes out with igpu and see what to do!

Can someone link me to legit reliable news of the new Ryzen cpus with igpu. Has L-man our great leader and CZAR xD here on LTT  done anything on it, previous WAN or something?

Well I did not realize this, but this list here has igpu's. And 4th gen i7 is HD Graphics 4600

$70 for gpu is gunna eat into the budget!

I'd do the R3 2300G since it'll cost $99 I think, and it's still a Ryzen 3 with really good graphics. As said above
