On amazon I found a bunch of 1000watt PSUs for under $100. They all looked pretty much the same, are they standard slot? Could I buy a computer breakout board and use them for my computers?

I have 240v and loudness is not important.

Someone who knows more about these HP PSUs, can they really supply 1000 watts at that price, and how can I connect my components to them?

The PSUs you linked are old-ass ProLiant G5 PSUs. Those servers were relevant between 2006 and 2011, to give you an idea.

You can't do anything with these as they are completely proprietary.

If they can supply the power why could I not solder cables to the output?

If I got these to work it would be insane price savings

You would need to know where to solder the cables and I dont think these come with something showing which lead does what and leads to what

I don't have that much knowledge in the area of psu's but these adapters are built for crypto currency miners which means it would only be powering gpus. I don't think this has enough connections for a mobo, cpu, and sata and what ever else i am forgetting. What are you trying to power? Like what specs and how many systems?

Deep learning hobby, and i'm getting into minning. I've been buying regualr PSUs but I heard about the cheapness of used server GPUs and found these. If I can find compatible breakout boards, even if they are just for the GPUS it saves me money rather than buying high wattage traditional PSUs I could buy like 400 watt for Mobo and CPU, and the server ones for GPUS. I don't really have a foreseeable quantity its pretty much determined by how much I put into my operation per month, so lower costs will have a long term benefit.

Looks like a possibility. I can't vouch for these things actually working as I have no mining knowledge at all. Don't bother wiring up your own cables when breakout boards like this exist. All you'll need is to find the right PSU to match the board.
