Hey guys! I have a question!

Go to solution Solved by Thecrazyswede,

To max at 1440p you need to SLI / Xfire sadly because of the resolution.

I forgot my old email and password so I had to make a new account! No biggy though! I'm building a new PC January but I have a teeny-tiny problem! I can't decide on a monitor, well not monitor but resolution. I'm going to be ordering the EVGA SC/ACX edition of the 780 Ti! Do you think that will be enough to power "next-gen" on a 2560x1440 monitor or should I stick with 1080, and is the extra 100 dollars or so worth it? Thanks guys, I appreciate any and all feedback!

4k.

In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only a GTX 1080, just a single 1080, where my glorious PC once stood....

For that is all I need, For the Emperor of Man, Jen-Hsun Huang, protects. We march for Nvidia, and we shall know no fear!

The 780ti is enough to game at 1440p, just not at max details in some games. 1440p is worth the money if you think it is. I would wait to see if we get a 6gb 708Ti and get that instead if you can. The extra vram will be helpful  at 1440p.

60FPS with 2560*1440p the 780 Ti will do okay. Buying a 2.5K monitor is becoming sorta common over 1080p. Get a good monitor with nice colour reproduction. I'm not so sure I'd want a TN panel at the resolution.

4k.

Digital nav showed a video of quad 780/780ti at 4K it wasn't that great.

780Ti will handle almost any resolution on the market. 4k or 2.5k? No doubt it will. yes, go for anything you will, it will handle it, if not dominate.

To love is to risk not being loved in return. To hope is to risk pain. To try is to risk failure, but risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.

Maxwell (Nvidia's new line of GPU) is hopefully a 4K gaming ready architecture

There are 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Unless its dual 780's on one PCB out of box i highly doubt it unless they add some kind of shit to make it easier to push, i mean even my 780 sli have problems at 1440p, i do not even dare to think what they would have at 4k.

I think I'm going to go 1080p until September when I can get a second card and then go 1440p to be safe. Thanks for all the help guys!
