So recently i made a post about which Gpu is better.. The Msi Gtx 1080 Aero vs Armor 8gb.

This is my pc build. Is there anyway to keep the performance of this pc but decrease the price of this pc? I want to keep a budget so i can buy peripherals.. I have about a 1200ish budget for the pc itself..

I want to be able to Play/Stream cureent games like Fortnite/Pubg at more than 60fps.. Have any clues to save some cash on this build below???

Thanks ~Merrymaan

Is it just gaming you are doing? do you need 6 cores?
You could drop down the CPU to a 1500 or even 1400 if you are comfortable overclocking

Also, why not use the Asus Prime B350 plus MOBO? Do you need the features of the X370?

If cost saving is what you are after: replace the M.2 with a normal SSD.

I wanted to game and stream on this pc

I had the Asus Prime B350 plus Mobo on my part list but someone told me that it wasnt good and that i should upgrade it to the x370. I heard that the audio and other stuff isnt great on the B350.. What do you think about it? If i downgraded the Mobo shouldnt i go with the MSI b350 Gaming?

I dont even know what the features of the x370 are lol.. So no a probs dont need them

The storage is one of the things that i thought about.. Maybe i should downgrade to a 120gb normal ssd paired with a 1tb hdd? I figured the 500gb would be amazing for the OS and games to go on.. But that is also something im not sure of..

I have the B350 plus an the sound is not amazing, but it is fairly good for the price. If you are serious about audio you'll want an external DAC/AMP anyways. Its perfectly fine for general gaming and movie watching.
What the storage is concerned: Your games don't really need to be on an M.2 IMO. It will cut down on load times a bit but not very much. You can store the bulk of your games on a normal HDD. The ones you want to load quickly go on the SSD. It will not really impact performance once the game is loaded.
If you want to use the PC ffor streaming i do recommend the 1600 instead of the 1500x or the 1400, as the 2 extra cores wil come in handy.
Don't go for the 1600x as it is basically the same CPU (once you OC the 1600) and it comes without a cooler.

How much performance will i loose if i went with the 1500x instead of the 1600x??

Remember.. i want to stream on this so if it takes an extra few hundred dollars.. Ill do it

For streaming: go for the 1600. Its a bit more expensive than the 1500x but definitely worth it.

Should i use the cooler that comes with the 1600? Can that cooler still be able to OC with temps running good? because that will cut me about $100 off my build if i go with the 1600 because it comes with a cooler as well

You can OC pretty well on the stock cooler I hear, but a Cryorig H7 or Noctua NH-D15 would be better alternatives.

One last thing.. Would the performance of Gaming/Streaming be significantly better if i went with the 1700 instead of a 1600

If i went with the 1700 with stock cooler.. I would be spending the same if i went with a 1600x with a non-stock.. What do you think? Is it worth upgrading to a 1700? I dont want to upgrade parts for a while..

You'll have 2 more cores to work with but i think you will be past the point of diminishing returns here. Yes it will give a bit more performance if you are really streaming in high quality at 60 fps i think but i think the 1600 is perfectly fine for general gaming with some streaming. If you are really serious about streaming you could go for the 1700 but i think the 1600 will be the better bang for your buck.
I recommend using it with the stock cooler and saving a bit.

You can always rock the 1600 for a while and upgrade to whatever is out by the time you notice that the 1600 is not cutting it anymore.

keep in mind that you will be missing a monitor. you'll have to buy one so consider it in the budget. Even if you have a monitor. For streaming 2 monitors is recommended.

Yea im keeping Monitors in mind.. At the end i will have a total of about $1400-1500 to work with.. And i have a shitty monitor already to read chat on for streaming.. So i should be fine.. But IF you honestly think that the 1700 wont do much for me.. I will stick to the 1600.

Well the games i want to play are: Fortnite, Pubg.. Do you think the 1600 will have a hard time playing and streaming in 1080p60fps? I will have an Msi Gtx 1080 8gb along with it..

both are not particularly CPU heavy, so i think the 1600 will do just fine. I am not a streamer however so i cant be entirely sure.

thank you so much.. Im going to do some extra research, but i think im going to go with the 1060 to save some cash

Now i just need to figure out which Mobo.. I have had people tell me a ton of different ones.. but im just not sure which one.

MSI - B350 GAMING PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard

Asus PRIME B350-PLUS

Gigabyte GA-AB350-GAMING 3

I have the ASUS one, but no experience with the others.

The ASUS MOBO serves me just fine. I have heard it is a decent overclocker (and i've gotten a decent OC on my R5 1400) and i have heard it has the easiest BIOS to work with. I certainly find it an easy MOBO to work with. Its red and black themed and the red LED's can be turned off.

If you just use the stock cooler, a slight overclock will be fine on the Prime Plus. The rest of them are complete crap.

With a 1700, if you ever plan on getting a better cooler, get a better motherboard

:)

So to save money I should just go with a 1600 with an asus prime b350 plus.. Shouldnt loose too much performance anyways

Have you had any issues with the asus mobo?? For an Xbox one gamer coming to pc will the audio downgrade? Or are the rumors of terible audio not true? I just want to make sure that this is a good mobo and that the audio is fine for an average user

no issues. I'm not really listening for perfect audio when gaming though. It sounds fine for me. I listen to music on a laptop via an external DAC/AMP so i don't really mind the sound not being perfect.

What do you mean by not being perfect? Is the audio stuttery or crappy? Will this mobo be a downgrade from an xbox audio lol?
