Building a pc first time

Meoww

Well hello there im thinking for the past month or two to build a pc why? well im in my 2nd year uni so i figured why not play a little

i do currently have a pc here are the specs

Case- NZXT H440
Prcessor- i7-5930k
Ram- Hyperx 64gb
Cooling-  H60
Storage- 480GB SSD, 2tb Hdd, 1TB Hdd
Motherboard- Msi X99A gaming 7
Video Card- GTX 1080 strix
Power supply- Corsair HX 850

I used to have a 780ti installed but upgraded to 1080 for vr gaming

now im thinking should i build a pc from scratch or should i simply upgrade ?

btw i do have a couple hdds lying around probably 3-4tb in total so i was thinking of doing a raid(unfortunately dont know how) for the new build, i do know my pc is a little bit crazy on ram but i used to have alot of applications that use ram + i multitask.

ahh yes i would like my new pc to be fully rgb.

Now to the budget probably 1300$ and i do live in the Middle east(Kuwait) (our pc market do have 10% inflation)

So i would like your suggestions/opinions ?

Thanks

 Meoww

I'd invest in upgrades instread of building a completely new one, get a m.2/pcie NVME ssd, otherwise this is such a high-end machined that you simply have nothing to justify the price of the upgrade.

Mabey get a replacemnet for the h60, h80i v2 mabey? i am very satisfied with it.

What upgrades do you think you need? I can't really see anything that would give you any real tangible benefit.

Maybe a 4k monitor and a 1080Ti? An NVME drive for Windows?

The cooler's kind of shit and you live in a hot country...though I'm assuming you have air conditioning. Throw one of Corsairs new H150i's in there.

You're not going to build anything better than what you have for $1300, if really want to play a little build a custom water cooling loop.

Yeah totally just upgrade. M.2 Seems like a good idea, you should get one and install OS on it. other than that you can't have enough RGB, I've been using the NZXT hue for 6 months+ and I can recommend it. I can also recommend a 1080 ti and a 4K monitor, though you should get one with a decent IPS or OLED panel. an another option is 1440p 60 or 1440p 144hz.

Winning an argument with a woman step by step

step one - talk to her

step two - fight with her for 2 hours even if you are really right

step three - admit that she is right for the sake of your safety

step four - realize that you have accomplished nothing and she still thinks you were wrong and now she thinks you are even more stupid

GTX1080ti, I5-4690k, ASUS Z97 PRO-GAMER, 8GB DDR3 1600mhz, Hyper 212 EVO, Tt view 31 RGB.

True im thinking of getting a m.2 but i do have like 4 hdds lying around and my ssd is pretty much good and tbh i dont care if it takes a little time to load

well i thought of getting a new 1080 to sli but the case is little bit tight that i need to remove some hdd drive bay to fit so you could say a new case probably a 570x

Mmm....nah. SLI isn't really that great, not everything supports it. I'd just get the 1080Ti.

I'm looking at a 570x with the shrink wrap still on the tempered glass panels right now ;)

Gorgeous case. Definitely something you appreciate more when seeing it in person.

Your PC is very powerful. You can get a M.2 PCIe SSD and RGB fans. But I would suggest you to buy a good monitor.

The xx80Ti is almost always as powerful if not more powerful than the Titan of the same generation.

You could sell the 1080.
