Operating System - DOS vs Supported Operating System Windows 10

yup, like everyone says, it means that the system has no OS. They tell you it is Windows 10 compatible, but didn't want to spend ~50$ (that is the manufacture prices for standard laptops that they pay) for the OS. So now you have to pay ~100$ US for Windows (assuming you get it at retail store)

Dear Experts,

while i am looking for a laptop to buy,

i am confused about a specification like this

Operating System
  • OS Architecture
    • 64 bit
  • Operating System
    • DOS
  • Supported Operating System
    • Windows 10
  • System Architecture
    • 64 bit
  1. Does it mean my laptop will have OS called DOS? i have never worked with this OS.
  2. Can you please explain whats the difference between OS-DOS & Supported OS-Windows10
  3. after buying this laptop do i need to buy Windows10 License?

Sounds like you it ships with no operating system and you need to install Windows 10 and the drivers manually.  Do you have a link to the product?

that essentially means they dont include an OS with the system in most cases.
