Since I am already getting tips for my own expensive build, I thought that I would ask the same for a build I am building for a friend. He is building it because he wants to play Kingdom Come:Deliverance a lot. So the most demanding thing he is going to be doing is gaming - which he currently does on his laptop. I build this --> https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sCBNJV  - When he pulled a premade build (7400, 16BG ram, 1060 3GB, but without ssd) for the same price. He has told me he doesn't need an OS since he has 3 pc license that hasn't been fully used yet.

Main thing for him is the game and I have legendarily bad guessing for what hardware can do and what do games need so that is where I'm looking for help. Because if he can get good enough 1080p he will be more than glad to spend less.

Thanks, I took just about 5 minutes above it to prove that I can make better for the same price. When it comes to building for a price I think I am pretty good at that, but making for req is still extremely hard for me...

1500X is only slightly less than 1600.

WHY THE PC MATE?

Slow RAM.

Overpriced SSD.

I would recommend against the Corsair VS PSU, and go with something a little more reliable like the CS/CX/CXM series or the EVGA 80+ rated PSUs.

CX/CXM has had a lot of bad PSUs in the lifetime of the branding, and most EVGA 80+ rated are worse or just as good as the VS.

The new 2017 CX model is actually quite decent and borrows a lot of its internals from the RMX series. Even the older CX are still better than the VS series. IDK about the cheap EVGA ones, but their B3, G3 and G2 are actually quite good.

He was referring to the old CX/M as the bad ones. It's fairly common knowledge that the grey ones are decent. Some of the older CX series are roughly on par with some newer VS units'.

The B3 has faulty OPP, and the G2/G3 are a bit more expensive than the CX.

EVGA also has the N1, W1, B1, BT, BV, all of which are crap. They also have the mediocre BQ and G1.

I know that. I'm refering to the green label.

B3 has faulty protections.
