I'm going to be buying a new PC soon and I was wondering if this build would be good enough for PUBG and CSGO at 1080p.

Build:https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fJYMPs

(I won't be doing any overclocking so I hope the Wraith Spire is good enough)

Thanks in advance! :D

no worries, we all start somewhere, its a good thing you asked before just buying, that asus board i recommended is a little more expensive but it will serve you well if you decide to upgrade processors down the line or if you decide to overclock

I do agree they should grab a 4 slot motherboard and a dual channel kit

I was never a believer that framerates ridiculously over your monitor's refresh rate made the game smoother / more responsive, so I think Ryzen is the better pick overall.

That i3's gonna be a great value CPU once you're able to pair it with a $60 motherboard though. As of right now it costs more like $160 because of the additional cost of Z370

the differance is quite a bit, 40fps or so and then with the Z370 motherboard you have a drop in upgrade to the 8700K when you need more CPU

I suppose so, there's upgrade paths for both options though with AMD releasing multiple generations on the same socket. Are those 40fps like 160 instead of 200, or more like 40 instead of 80? A percentage difference is more useful to know

well my computer seems pretty screwed up, like real bad so i cant say but if i recall right it was 160 vs 200 but that was with a 1080 TI, so its not that bad but CS:GO and source as an engine wants more fast cores than a lot of slower ones which is what the benchmark shootout between Northern Bee and Artic blue also showed where my I7 4790K won over his R7 1700(well i all around have the better system but ehh)

I bet it's not gonna be as bad with a 1050 Ti. People have pulled off great framerates since Haswell and before in CSGO so I'll keep my Ryzen 5 recommendation. That said I'm patiently waiting for the day when you can buy a Coffee Lake motherboard for less than $100.

honestly id say the I3 still, high framerates is just what you need for CS:GO, but in the ends its up to the OP to decide
