UPS beeping when PC under load

Today I decided to buy UPS, because we have some weird power outages every single day ... about 10 times a day for less than 1 sec. Just enough to crash my PC.

It says that it can handle 630W, but when I put load on my PC, this UPS starts beeping. Tried to play some games, and as soon as I start them, UPS starts beeping. 

 

Is that not strong UPS enough, to handle my PC (specs in signature)? I know that my system can pull around 350W under 100% max load. But when playing games it's around 250W at best.

So I don't get it, why can't UPS handle it if it says that it can support 630W power.

 

Any ideas what am I missing?

Did you let it charge before going ham on it?

Replace the battery

Well I have plugged monitor and PC to those 2 outlets. Nothing else.

But all together isn't even pulling 250W.

I used plug power meter and ran Valley benchmark + AIDA64 stress test. So both GPU and CPU were at 100% load.  And the result was 350W.

Then I tried to game normally and power usage was around 200-270W.

Mine only beeps when the power goes out. I use the correct outlets on mine aswell.

The instructions would clearly state why it would beep. If not take it back and get something better.

 

Push mine pretty hard when gaming. Never beeps or gives me an issue. Pc, main monitor and modem are in the back-up outlets.

I think i know what is happening and it's not the UPS possibly either.

 

It could be your homes wiring, I have a toaster oven plugged into one along with a can opener and a blender (the essentials :P), My UPS will alarm if i have the can opener and Oven on at the same time. It's rated for 450 watts 750VA, but only announces its displeasure in that one outlet.

 

Basically your UPS will notify you if you draw too much power not just from its capabilities but the walls too.

 

If possible try another outlet, if possible on a different breaker.

 

My computer consumes about 500+ Watts underload which it rarely gets too but till about 6 months ago it had a second computer on the same UPS that consumed about 120 watts, yet my UPS has never complained unless the power goes out or a surge happens.

I just measured again. PC is using 320W at max, and monitor around 30-50W.

I think I know what the problem is ... this UPS have 2 outlets and each of them can only handle 1,3A max.

So 230V * 1,3A = 299W

*2 outlets = around 600W total power.

 

But it seems like it doesn't like to be pushed to the limits since my PC alone will pull 280W from the wall when running valley benchmark. So I guess that's the problem in my case, and I need to get better UPS that will handle more amps on single outlet.

I'm not 100% sure if it is that way, but near each outlet it says max 1,3Amps. 

So that's what I think is going on here.

UPS was charging for more than 24 hours now and still the same story.

Power meter only shows WATTS, and nothing else sadly. 

 

edit: I also just emailed manufacture about this UPS and how it works ... I'm really interested if it can only power 300W per socket and not 500W on single socket. Then again my PC is only puling 250W when UPS starts beeping, so something must be really wrong here.
