I7-5820k Overclocking

I have recently started to overclock my i7 5820k and I was wondering what some safe voltages and temperature targets if I plan to mostly use it for gaming at 1080p for the next 4 years.

I'm currently hitting 4.3GHz @1.250V with the hottest core hitting 67C but I'm able to get it up to 4.6Ghz @1.359V and the hottest core is hitting 75C

Wouldnt bother overclocking the CPU since the GPU is just a 1060 6gb

after running through a benchmark again at stock I noticed that I only gained .7 FPS so yeah I guess I would have to agree with you on this one

Temps will limit you before vcore does. Your current overclock is good, you might be able to get 4.7, although it might need a lot of vcore. You can also try changing the CPU VRIN Override voltage to around 1.95-2, it could improve stability and allow you to hit 4.7, without increasing vcore.

As far temperatures go, Intel recommends keeping CPU package under 80ºC for 24/7 and Vcore under 1.4v

Watch your motherboard VRM temperature.
