Dvi-d to 2 dvi-d?

Danny7811

Hello! I have a question, I have two 144hz monitors and in my graphics card there is only one dvi-d output so can I use dvi-d to 2 dvi-d and does it still have 144 hz ?

It will not work the way you want it to.

If you use a DVI splitter (one DVI connector to two DVI connectors) then both screens will be mirrored, thus defeating the point of having 2 screens.

Chances are your monitor also has a DisplayPort port. If it does, just use DVI for one monitor and DP for the other one.

Does it have anything other than DVI?

If not then you're kind of screwed.

I have a option 1 hdmi and 1 dvi-d

Then use the HDMI on one monitor, and DVI on the other monitor.

If those ports doesn't match your monitor then you'll need adapters.

Sorry for the late answer.

Yes that will work.

DVI-I is just DVI-D with a few extra pins for use with things like DVI->VGA adapters.
