Opinion on This PC?

First off, if I could ask everyone to save your predisposed opinions about prebuilt systems away for a quick minute here and I just want a critical opinion about the system itself. I know a bit about computers but not enough to know much about like the actual value of it, how well it'll run and it's expandability. I'll mostly be playing CSGO and other lower-demanding games.

Keep in mind the price on here is CAD, so for my American friends out there it's roughly $570 USD.

Ihmo any FX series cpu should be killed with fire. Better search for an 4th generation Intel cpu deal. And GT730 isn't oriented for gaming too. Maybe go scrapyard style and shoot for used, but more gaming worthy hardware?

Even for csgo you should aim for single core performance. FX series suck bad at it. Go Intel.

People quoting posts with all the pictures should get banned from internet!

It looks like a really bad value for anny computer, prebuilt or not.

No upgrade path, slow RAM, no SSD, and a trash video card. There are better prebuilts for less money.

Also it is very ugly IMO.

It will run CSGO I think but it won't be a good experience I think.

Thanks for your opinions guys. I'd be highly grateful if someone could link me to a good value prebuilt for like $700-900 CAD. Or even to a list of parts for something around the same price. Canadian websites would be preferred. Love you all <3

This should set you up rather good for the price. Windows 10 is not included in the price. You can get a key via Kinguin if you're into that, or just add 80-ish bucks to the price for the OS.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Jj6KFd

The parts listd in the list will be available trough Newegg and amazon, maybe trough other sites. It won't be hard to find the components as they are rather common.

This is a much better build. You can shave $50 off if you want to go with a 1050Ti.

Another $50 if you forgo the cooler.

Haha, I know when I saw that I cringed. Also, paying an extra $8 for an extra 8GB of storage, plus NVME speed seems like a no brainer.

How much of a performance difference would downgrading to the 1050Ti make? Like I said in the original post, I'm mostly going to be playing low-demand games like CS:GO. I would start playing PUBG if I can run it well

That is not a very good system at all. If it even ran the games you wanted too, at the performance you wanted them at, you would (almost)surely be unable to play next-gen games even if they are ones that are typically considered not demanding.

It just isn't a good system, or a good value.

Honstly, if you're not overclocking, I'd go Intel. Ryzen only performs well when overclocked.

Intel raises the price by almost $100, which is a bit much.

I'd do this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 3 1300X 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($160.94 @ shopRBC)
Motherboard: Asus - PRIME B350M-E Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard  ($98.99 @ PC Canada)
Memory: Crucial - Ballistix Sport 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory  ($87.74 @ Amazon Canada)
Storage: ADATA - XPG SX6000 128GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive  ($69.99 @ Memory Express)
Storage: Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($49.95 @ Vuugo)

Case: Fractal Design - Core 1000 USB 3.0 MicroATX Mid Tower Case  ($34.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Power Supply: Corsair - CX (2017) 450W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  ($57.99 @ PC Canada)
Total: $760.58

The chip should OC itself (iirc that's what the x chips do, someone can correct me if I'm wrong), so you'll still see a nice performance boost. If your budget allows, a better cooler could help. CryOrig H7 is what I'd suggest.

Thanks man. Would purchasing the Crucial - 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory instead of the Ballistix Sport (1 x 8GB) make any difference performance-wise. From what I can tell every website that has the Ballistix at a reasonable price is sold out

Thanks man. Would purchasing the Crucial - 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory instead of the Ballistix Sport (1 x 8GB) make any difference performance-wise. From what I can tell every website that has the Ballistix at a reasonable price is sold out

Hmmm. Yeah, so I see.

The Crucial stuff isn't bad but Ryzen likes fast RAM. I'd try and get at least 2666mhz.

Oh, and the 1060 is a lot better than the 1050Ti. If you can afford it I'd definitely get it.
