Can I use a different module size of ram?

Hello, so i just bought a new motherboard and 8gb of ram at 2x4 of https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01550ZJPA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and it would seem that my cooler blocks on of the DIMM ports thankfully i was told to use 2&4 but as I in time wish to have 16gb of ram what can I do as one is blocked? Am i able to use a 8gb version or something else ,thanks

Does it block it because of the height, or just because it hangs over the slot?

If it only hangs over the slot you can probably just remove the cooler to install in it.

If you don't wanna do that, you'll be fine running 2x4gb's and an 8gb stick, just try to get it the same speed as the 4gb sticks if you can(as they'll all be forced to run at whatever the lowest sticks speed is)

You can mix and match sizes, but you should get a module that matches the others in speed (MHz). If you get a slower module, the faster chips will run slower.
