Latest google search update deletes icon on Nexus 7

Just got the latest update to google now/search and it appears that it deletes whatever icon is on the far right of the system tray.

 

This happening for others???

 

Hopefully a fix for this comes out fairly soon

I agree. Deleting Icons is not the way Google should go.

I got a similar thing with my Nexus 4, the photos icon seems to have gone so its just text in the app drawer.

and it only happens when you switch the device to landscape

version 3.1.24 is the one that breaks its.

I am using Nova Launcher and I don't have any problems with it.
