Wow I havent posted on this forum in ages haha.

So I bought a am4 Asus TUF b350m-plus and a hyper 212x for my brothers rig where building, and im having trouble installing the cooler. When i bought the cooler from newegg I was prompted to buy the new am4 bracket for ryzen, so i did however when it came in I notice that the bracket was the exact same one that came with the cooler, except it had different standoffs. I watched coolermaster tutorial for installing the cooler with the new bracket but Im lost. Should I take off the backplate that came with the motherboard and install the one that came with the 212x?? we tried instaling with the original standoffs and the backplate that came with the 212x  but while the cooler is tightened all the way I can still turn the cooler in place while its sitting on the cpu.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated,

thanks!

I mean if it is really tight all the way it only "moves slightly" because of the thermal paste, you should align it perfectly with the CPU and not touch it ever again to not compromise the thermal paste.

boot up normally and do a stress test using some temperature monitoring tool like msi afterburner. It should be perfectly fine.

That's because the way mounting is made. It has hinge in the middle. So it twists slightly around that hinge. Boot and look at idle temps. If they are good, there isn't any major issue with cooler. Do some benchmarks or stress tests. If temps are good, everything works as it should.
