used is almost always a better deal. However if you're looking for a warranty, a used unit MAY NOT BE transferable.

a old gpu performs as well as a new one, just get a used one from a seller you know you can get your money back if it doesnt work

If the budget allows a new 1050, maybe look for:

USD? You're not that far off. Just save another $35.

Why don't go for a secondhand 970. For 150/175. you can get a relay good one. def better than a 1050 or even a 1050TI.
