Hello all!

I'm going back to school to pursue a degree in Information Technology and Web Design this spring. My current rig isn't quite up to par and can't run Adobe Creative Suite; I've tried and it's so painfully slow and crashes all the time. My current daily driver is:

Early 2011 MBP 13 inch

2.3 GHz Core i5 2415M CPU

Upgraded 8GB DDR3 1333 MHz Ram

Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB

I'm looking to stick with a laptop and I'd love to stay under $2000 American, but another hundred or so won't be a deal breaker. I'm open to all makes and all models! Thank all y'all in advance!

Are you looking to have a dedicated graphics processor for light gaming? Web design and CC 2017 is not very demanding and can run very well on integrated graphics. Do you have a weight or size preference?

Thinkpad P series or W series would be amazing, and upgradeable.  You could get a W530 and use the legendary xx20 series keyboard. These machines can be configured with a 3940XM which still shredds on the benchmarks, even keeping up with current gen CPU's. Actually beating most mobile chips in the 7th gen fleet.

They can also be configured with 3 storage drives, a 2k display and 32gb of ram.

CPU: i7-4770k @4.8ghz---Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth z97---Ram 32gb Corsair Vengeance---GPU: 2 EVGA GTX 980 4gb way sli---Case: Corsair 600T White---Storage: 500gb 850 Pro & WD Black 4tb---PSU: Corsair RM1000
