I'm just an ordinary student, and my Mac book Air 2012 is wearing off pretty quick and the battery is straight off dead now, I'm still researching for the perfect laptop for my usage, little bit of audio editing and lots of gaming at 1080p for 60fps would be appreciated, I Hope it's portable

But I'm not really sure that should I save up my money to buy the latest Razer blade stealth 2017 or buy a cheaper alternative but Razer stealth is a bit over budget for now

Helpppp.

Personally I would avoid the Razer Blade lineup like the plague, way too many quality control issues. There are way better options from MSI; Asus; Acer and Dell for high end gaming at much cheaper prices.

Edit: Forgot about Clevo. Clevo makes some pretty damn good gaming laptops.

The New Machine: Intel 11700K / Strix Z590-A WIFI II / Patriot Viper Steel 4400MHz 2x8GB / Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC w/ Bykski WB / x4 1TB SSDs (x2 M.2, x2 2.5) / Corsair 5000D Airflow White / EVGA G6 1000W / Custom Loop CPU & GPU

The Rainbow X58: i7 975 Extreme Edition @4.2GHz, Asus Sabertooth X58, 6x2GB Mushkin Redline DDR3-1600 @2000MHz, SP 256GB Gen3 M.2 w/ Sabrent M.2 to PCI-E, Inno3D GTX 580 x2 SLI w/ Heatkiller waterblocks, Custom loop in NZXT Phantom White, Corsair XR7 360 rad hanging off the rear end, 360 slim rad up top. RGB everywhere.

Don't get the Razer. It's a horrible product as far as reliability goes.

I'd try and get an 8th gen laptop with at least 16GB of RAM, an SSD, and a 1060 or 1070.

Why did you bother mentioning budget, if you're not going to give us a figure?
Makes it pointless.

R u serious. GL series laptops have mediocre build quality, mediocre cooling system despite many heatpipes, poor display, OKish input devices and poor battery life (if that matters).

Find a less expensive laptop than those with the GPU/CPU Specs they have, and then your comment has merit.   I'd be happy with a cheap hunk of plastic when I'm on a budget as long as it benchmarks well.

The guy says that a Razer Blade Stealth ($1300) is too expensive for him, and you recommend 4 machines that cost more.  With the exception of the GS, which can be in the 1100 range.

That helps :P

OP needs lots of gaming at 1080p@60FPS so Ultrabook is not an option (Blade Stealth is Ultrabook). IMO he needs a laptop with 1060 GPU for his needs. Portable laptops with 1060 are slightly expensive than regular 1060 laptops.

All of those machines are more expensive when you compare chip for chip, spec for spec to those 3 MSI's.

Deals can be had with sales, indeed, but those machines I linked are the lowest price for the spec on Newegg and Amazon as of today.

That $950 MSI has an i7-7700, 1050ti, 512gb m.2 SSD.  Find one of those linked machines with that for $950.  I'll wait.  Granted, you can find a similarly spec'd REFURBISHED Acer VX for about the same price, but that's a limited 90 day warranty.

As for "fanboy", not really.  I've owned a few MSI laptops back in the 2008-2012 time frame, but the only MSI stuff I own now are my GTX 960's.  I push price per performance more than brand loyalty.  And the MSI's happen to win today.

Sorry but I prefer overall build quality over performance, again cooling system will affect performance. When buying gaming laptops, NEVER go for brand as all brands have good and bad products, for instance MSI has good laptops like GE,GS and GT. One thing I don't like MSI is their advertising. Most of the advertisements are literally nothing special.

pick up dell laptops, buddy,to get what you want--sufficient gaming ability you have to lose most of portability and battery life.

Razer blade stealth is a good laptop, nice looking and outstanding screen. But you got to know that it only have UHD 620 integrated graphic card, pretty weak especially using its 3k resolution screen,so blade stealth without razer core is just an normal use ultra book with cool rgb lights, good touch screen and nice 17-8550(useless for you).Of course you get mobility and 9hours battery life, but your gaming need will not be fulfilled.

Thin and portable with at least 1050ti,15-7300HQ,go find in amazon
