Hi,

Recently I've discovered that there is an/are two unknown device in my network. (https://gyazo.com/4b9563b12ce5ad57e97c823d74973638). These are the details of the devices (https://gyazo.com/a6f410314ebbe705a202061a93c31823 and https://gyazo.com/cf8ca6bcce73bc548e7b9dcfc2235548), and this is what I get when I type in it's ip into chrome (https://gyazo.com/a18ff78b29555578cff4822e3e793e8a). I have my suspicions that this might be something about my router?!? Alltought, the router ip ends with 2.254, and not 2.1 .

Thanks,

Seems to be a set top box according to the 3rd picture.

just put the mac adress lock setting on your wifi. then make sure to keep a record of all your mac addresses for the devices on your network. that way. even if your wifi is open. only those devices can connect.

Thanks for the advice, only my ISP doesn't allow me to do this!! Also I found out that it isn't connected to the wifi whatsoever, the MAC adress is nowhere to be found on the wifi list. Btw: it might be the isp provided cell phone, or the set top box.

I would like to know if I am able to find out more about it. I've already tried common ports and the ip adress, but that doesn't work.

It's a set top box, do you have a cable TV or other box for television connected to your network?

It's most likely got a web service turned on but is blocking connection attempts meaning it wasn't fully setup.

1) Yes it's connected to my network.

2) You can watch TV thru an app online, but it's still weird that windows shows these devices and not other windows devices (I've got this struggle for years. My windows tablet + laptop are not able to see me (but I can ping them and vice versa) But the time that they're able to see me, they arent able to connect. (to share files)

Ah, that would explain it, at least why it's visible, it's advertising itself as a web server but blocking all connections that aren't through the app. I'm not sure why it's only visible to one device though, perhaps you have network discovery turned on for that computer but not the others? Are they all in the same homegroup/workgroup?

Well I'm able to create a homegroup, while the others can see it and detect it. When they try to connect to the homegroup it just disconnects?? On all the devices the same happens.
