Hello
I'm planning to build a new computer and I have to choose which PSU i buy for the computer. Among the valid options (so the wattage is fine) are this 2 options:
SeaSonic M12II 620w Bronze
and Corsair Cx650m 650w
I would like to know what you think about these two PSU, which one you consider better and why.
Thank you

CX650M is considerable newer so it has more modern protection facing that specific Seasonic model.

Why do you need that much wattage? What's the specs of the PC you plan on powering?

The specs of the pc are:
- CPU: Rizen 7 1700
- Graphics Card: AORUS GeForce GTX 1070 8Gb
- Mother: Gigabyte Aorus Ga-ax370-gaming 5
- Memory: 2x8gb Ddr4 3000 Mhz Corsair Vengeance Lpx Black
- HDD: Western Digital Blue 1tb, not sdd for now, maybe later

Its worth to mention that i plan to do some overclocking on it.

550W should still be plenty. The TXM, G2/G3, Focus Plus Gold and Whisper M in 550W capacities shouldn't cost much more than the CX650M.

The CXM is better than the M12 II.

Why are you getting an octacore, a super high-end motherboard, fast memory, and completely skipping out on an SSD? It would make much more sense to get an SSD NOW rather than LATER when you'll have to mess with reinstalling Windows, transferring files to different drives, and all that headache. Your system will be much, much more responsive with an SSD. Seriously consider getting an SSD now and a HDD later, even if it's only a 120 GB drive.

For a PSU, I'm gonna recommend you something a little cheaper so you can manage to fit an SSD in your budget easier. A Corsair CX550 should be fine, and if you need the extra PCIe power plug for your particular 1070, then get a CX550M instead.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Corsair's website says the CX550 has 2 PCIe connectors. Is the website wrong?
