Is my SSD underperforming?

It looks completely average for the 250GB model.

I want to know whether my new SSD is underperforming or not. IMO the performance is slightly below average. Take a look at CrystalDiskMark results and let me know your thoughts. (I only test Sequential and 4K) Edit: SSD is Samsung 850 EVO 250GB (2.5 inch)

Then no, your results are very near with Samsungs advertising of SR: 540 MB/s and SR: 520 MB/s

Isn't the 4K write speed below average? Samsung claims up to 40000 IOPS but mine only achieve around 33000 IOPS.

They only claim that at higher queue depth.

 

In this review, the 500GB version does 47/127 random read/write at 4K QD1. Virtually identical to your result.
