how much fps do you get? Can you upload a screenshot of MSI Afterburner graphs?

inconsistent frametimes give you a non-smooth feel.

stable 60 fps will look and feel much better, than 60-100 fps that jump up and down.

BF1 is a CPU demanding game, on bigger maps.

Heared many people with an overclocked i5 quad Core, that were unable to play this game without framedrops at all. Upgrade to an i7 (4 Cores + Hyperthreading) solved the issue.

Of course, frametimes won't be perfect with an i7 either. But it will hold them much better, than an i5 does.

If you can refund the CPU at least, do it.

My advice will be a Ryzen platform, R5 1600 (6 Cores, 12 threads for <200 bucks) is the best sweetspot right now. Plenty of threads, cheap, OCable.

GTX 1050 ti is fine, as long you're fine with the performance you get, and you don't want to spend 100 bucks more for a GTX 1060 6gb (/RX 580 8gb).

The main problem will be the CPU, that MIGHT not be enough in CPU-heavy games / scenes.

I’ve asked for a refund on bf1. Not worth doing anything.
