Hi I am attempting to build my first hard line custom water cooled system and i was wondering if anyone could give me some tips and perhaps recommend some parts such as a reservoir and a pump and perhaps a list of every thing that I might need.

My system:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460

GPU: Sapphire Radeon Rx 480 Nitro-OC 8gb

Ram: Vengeance 16gigs

PSU: Corsair RM650i fully modular

Case: Corsair 400c White

Storage: 120gb ssd boot drive and a 2tb hardrive

Cooling: Corsair H60

First of all, if you can't even choose your own watercooling parts then you are definitely not experienced enough to be building a custom loop.

If you have the $500+ for a custom loop and really want to do it for aesthetics, then spend a few months learning everything and doing research before you kill your PC with a leak.

If you don't have the time or money, you should get an AIO or air cooler instead.

A 280mm AIO or something like an NH-D15 will perform far better than your H60.

For the hardware you have and the cost of a loop it wouldn't be really worth the effort to watercool a locked processor. The GPU wouldn't be bad on water if you wanted to put a block on that but placing an AIO cooler with an adapter bracket would yield similar results.

Enderman let me first state that I am well aware that I will be needing more experience and learning I do not plan to actually start the project for several months and will probably upgrade my CPU and motherboard in the mean time I was simply asking for advice on my current system so that I could learn more about liquid cooling and there components sorry I did not fully state my intent.

W-L Think you for your recommendation as well and I do 100% agree with you on my CPU.

If you wanted to get started in watercooling a good starting point would be the kits from EKWB, I personally recommend fthe P series as it's a great option with a D5 pump, and good quality components to start with.
