Starting about two weeks ago, my computer started freezing up on me. Even the operating system completely stalls, as well as, games, Spotify, etc.

Would this be a result of my SSD failing, or my RAM not being able to process several applications running at once? This has never been an issue before.

Thank you in advance, you guys have been very helpful in the past and I appreciate all of the input given.

Hard locks *can* be caused by failing RAM, but you can rule that out with a Memtest86.  Failing drives don't generally exhibit that symptom, but running Crystal Disk Info will tell you about your SSD's health.

It's most likely something corrupted in the OS though.  If Memtest and Crystal turn up good, then it's time for a fresh load of Windows.

thats one of the worst quality SSDs i know of, if i had to guess, that would be it

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

I havent run Crystal in a bit, so ill run that and check out Memtest. If the latter is the result, ill take your advice on the OS. Thank you :)

Yeah, ive been meaning to upgrade it. It just keeps getting put off.

its probably gone bad, corrupted the OS and thats why you are haveing issues, could ofc be something else but based on what i have heard about the V300 id say its absolutely the most failiure prone component in that system
