Hey there peeps,

I have a few quick questions, my GTX 1050ti has a *as stated on the site I bought the card from* local manufacturer's warranty. What I imagine that means is that I can only claim warranty in the country I bought it from. Is that right? And why can't I claim warranty anywhere if it is a *manufacturer's* warranty and not a supplier's warranty. What is RMA? Why do manufacturer's do this? It's not like my 1050ti will change when I bring it to another country, it's not like it will no longer be in it's original physical state. What happens if I take my card into a store in another country with a receipt? Would I even take it to a store in another country? I'm quite confused. Any answers will be much appreciated :D

It will depend on how the manufacturer sees the warranty in your country. Some manufacturers see the warranty as a store's responsibility, mostly in the EU. But it will depend on your warranty laws where you live.

Oh and RMA is the process of sending in a (I'm whatever way) broken product.

I would contact the warranty/customer service department of the company in question (local meaning the one in YOUR country) and see if they will honour the warranty directly.

Some manufacturers offer a worldwide warranty. Other manufacturers will offer regional warranties.

The main reason some do that is if they contract out warranty service to a third party, with different third parties in different regions.
