Hello!

I game at 720p, but in modern games some performance is taken by windows and stuff...

Can I do anything at all?

 

I was thinking yesterday and I came up with this:

Can I end windows and other programs with task manager and then turn on steam big picture mode?

No you can't. Steam big picture is just steam in full screen so it has to have windows running. 

 

There's also really not much of a performance loss through windows...
