I have questions about the nintendo switch and save data

If i want to upgrade to a higher storage micro sd card can i move save data from the old micro sd card to to a new higher storage one or do i have to swap the sd cards in and out depending on which one has the save data for the game i want to play?

 

can i store save data on the switch console and just the games on the sd card?

My understanding from all the internet outrage of not being able to backup your save data is that all save data is stored on the console memory and not the SD card. SD cards only hold game data.

 

That thing I'm not sure if a fix has been patched in or not is game data management to move things between system and SD card memory.

You can pick where to save your games and saves. So you can have saves on the console and games on the SD Card.
