cheap cpu block

Cyracus

I was looking for cheap cpu blocks because Jay recently did a video, anyone see an issue with this, the price looks too good to be true https://www.amazon.com/505013mm-Waterblock-Vertical-Interface-Cooling/dp/B00SAYTQHQ/ref=sr_1_1472?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1513640324&sr=1-1472&refinements=p_n_condition-type%3A2224371011%2Cp_36%3A600-5000

Spoiler

It says it's aluminum and copper construction, you aren't supposed to mix those, right? xD  just thought it was funny and wanted to share

I would get the one Jay reviewed over this one; it seems a little less sketchy. Also, who would want an incredibly vibrant blue block of metal on their CPU that will likely contrast terribly with the surrounding components?

No that would be a terrible block to get it's mixed metal and well you can just imagine the issues with galvanic corrosion. If your looking for a waterblock go for a good quality reputable one, there are lots of lower cost options out there.

I don't think the water comes in contact with the aluminum

Do you really want to put a 15 dollar piece of metal on your 7700k?

ok, to clear some confusion I'm not actually interested in this, it states that it's mixed copper and aluminum and I'm smart enough to know not to mix those.

I'd put this on it... if it wasn't so expensive to get the rest of everything (copied from jayz video, not gonna bother getting rid of his ad link) https://www.amazon.com/Water-Cooling-Waterblock-Copper-Channel/dp/B013JD2CVO/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&qid=1513360411&sr=8-17-spons&keywords=waterblock&psc=1&smid=A1KTOWWK98PYQO&linkCode=sl1&tag=jayz05-20&linkId=69322d43cba8ff9103ed637dc70455c6

That block is terrible. I have used 20 dollar barrow blocks in the past and they have worked just as well as EK blocks. I also have a Bykski AM4 CPU block that I currently use right now and it is working very well. EK is for the guys who shell out a shit load for stuff like Asus ROG boards and other extravagant shit. Would rather my stuff looks the same without being complete trash. I go cheap where it matters along with availability.

Get what ever you want if price is truly an issue. Places like Amazon will have reviews.
