I was thinking about picking up a new graphics card for myself as the holiday times are approaching and I was wondering whether I should or not.  This would be used for heavy gaming and light video editing not much else.  I currently have a hd 7770, specifically the one here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102993, and I was wondering should I wait or go for the upgrade now? If you want to clear 300, the 280X is a beast.  If you'e team green, 770 is pretty good for around 340.  Right now, the GTX 760 can be found for around 255, and is a powerhouse when run in SLI.  btw, these prices were in USD, since I didn't really know where you're buying from.

7970 or 280x if you can find one in stock. If not, stretch to get a 770 if possible. 

If neither are possible, grab a 270.
