AI recently started to overclock my gpu by about 50 MHz from 925MHz and found that my performance actually got worse by 50FPS. My motherboard is a Lenovo bet 4.2 motherboard  and my gpu is an XFX R7 250A 2N. The temperature never went above 47°C.

Might it be forcing your PSU to deliver less power and therefore cause the other components to throttle due to power? The R7 250 is everything but a power-hungry card, but it may just be the hint too much...

Never heard of this PSU before. Sounds like some crappy PSU which I wouldn't use to overclock anything.

It has actually survived since 2009 from my brother's old PC and all I have done is just replace the fan for an LED one
