Which of these power supplies?

PeterD1001

Hi guys,

Which of these 3 power supplies would be best?

EVGA 750GQ £89.99

EVGA 650GQ £79.99

Corsair 750M £71.99

the build will be an i7-8700k oc’ed and a 1080ti with a single SSD. I have no plans to ever run SLI.

From what I gather the 650 watt is more than ample for my needs, but is there any reason to/not to get one of the 750 watt ones, the Corsair one is cheaper than the 650 EVGA.

If you could focus your replies only specifically on these three units please as they are what I can pick up in store locally and need to get one of the in the morning.

Thanks

550W is already way more than you need. How does a store only have 3 PSUs in stock?

They have others but I had already narrowed it down to these three. A lot of the other weren’t modular or semi modular.

So even 650 watt is overkill?

An overclocked 1080 Ti will draw about 300W, so yes, 650W is overkill.

The GQ doesn't come in a config less than 650W. Just get the 650W and you'll be fine.

|PSU Tier List /80 Plus Efficiency| PSU stuff if you need it.
