How to take off hyper 212x fan?

WhyAlwaysMe

To install my new hyper 212x, I have to remove the fan first. Does anyone know how to do this?

oof.

that's a hard one. I've broken one of the brackets Every. Single. Time. I've tried to get the fan off.

just go really slow, and make sure to remove both top and bottom of the bracket at the same rate.

What should I use to remove them?

just your hands, and maybe a flathead screwdriver?

just a correction -- I have successfully removed the fan off a 212 once. so 3 fails, one success.

I've installed 212 Evo with fan attached. I think. And if I didn't, it must have been easy to remove since I don't remember removing it.
