51.2dB is pretty damn loud, the only people I know that can accept this kind of noise from things are elderly people

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

It's not just the size of the battery: Part of the reason this has such great battery life is that it uses Optimus to switch between Intel and Nvidia graphics as needed.  But that's why it can't have G-Sync: The two technologies are incompatible.  

Until Nvidia figures out how to make Optimus and G-Sync work together, every decent gaming laptop will have to choose whether it wants to prioritize buttery-smooth performance or long battery life.  

This is a well-known problem, but it's worth reiterating since Linus praised its great battery life, AND criticized it for not having G-Sync.  Alas, you don't get to have both in 2017.
