Stuttering Issue need some help!

Go to solution Solved by asusfan,

I would say both the Ram and hard drive is causing the problem.

first the memory should be duel channel kit and not a single module.

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/H87-G43-GAMING.html#specification

^^^see specs its duel channel memory^^^

so you need a matched pair (Duel) or a (Quad kit) and check the manufactures manual for recommended kits for that board.

second it would help to have a Sata3 hard drive, less lag. you can now get good SSHD drives now at a good price and storage sizes. look at Seagate they do good hybrid drives in 2.5" or 3.5" sizes.

hope that helps, oh and by the way nice motherboard and CPU

Hello guys its been 2 or 3 weeks since i upgrade my old PC . Even though this is not a high end build still i can play 1920x1080 max settings on any games i've played. My problem right now is that i'm having a stuttering issue with my newly build pc. I played tera online for a week now i notice that this stutter is getting worse right now. i dont know what the real issue with this but when i check my cpu usage and memory usage the cpu got below 20-15% but the memory got 70-80% or sometimes its getting 90% at full load like playing tera + using google chrome for FB or youtube atleast 2 tabs only. Any ideas what is the real bottleneck issue with my pc right now im kinda noob at this one . . Thank you so much and advance Merry Xmas to All of you.

PC specs

Are you using Adaptive V-sync?

lack of memory. since only one single module, the system is inefficiently running

any memory as buffer and really not enough to hold the OS and extra appz.

plus, prolly the configuration of the RAM is low at 1066MHz.

Ram is definetly true bottleneck in that setup. Question is: why do you have K cpu but H87 mobo? You could have saved some by getting non-K cpu.

Sorry, but I doubt his hard drive is causing the problem. Someone on Newegg reported in their review about a WD SATAII drive that it got 130MB/s for reading. That's about how much my SATAIII drive gets. It will not create a huge difference to use a SATAIII hard drive. Having dual channel memory will NOT create a noticeable difference at all unless he's doing content creation.
