right here, it says i can use either both or only 8 pin

I'm on the phone with Asus support and the guy says my RAM is not compatible with CPU and motherboard... that's why it is not posting. is that possible?

Hi everyone again and thanks for answering. so I contacted Asus and they told me to request replacement of my motherboard. so I did. yesterday new motherboard came, plugged in everything no post. I called Asus again we did all the troubleshooting possible, running on one stick of ram, unplugging and plugging back everything. restarted several times and then the guy said that was all he could do for me, Asus engineers would call me in about 1-2 days and find out whats going on and hopefully fix it. I said okay... as I hanged up the phone, I restarted the computer for no reason and it did post. so eventually everything worked, which is awesome, thanks again everyone.
