I'm not sure about the RAM and MOBO. The main use for this PC is for every day browsing and gaming. This will be a future-proof build of at least 5 years with no upgrades. I prefer to play games at a consistent 1440p-144Hz rate on an IPS monitor. There will be NO OVERCLOCKING.

I would really like to cut the cost of this PC without interfering with the performance of the machine much. My main use for the PC is internet browsing, tv shows/movies, Youtube, and gaming. Games I will play are Battlefield, Rainbow Six, The Witcher III, Fallout 4, PUBG, GTA V, etc. Mainly AAA titles with a bit of graphic intensity.

Thanks for any suggestions. Feel free to change whatever part that will suit my needs. I am not too knowledgeable with what works best, so I thought I would seek some help here.

• None/Minimum Overclocking
• Use for everyday web-browsing, Youtube/Movies, gaming. Minor video editing for Youtube, no streaming, no media/image creating.
• Fan of games like Battlefield, PUBG, Witcher, GTA, Nier, Dark Souls, Assassins Creed, etc.
• Want consistent 1440p-144Hz for at least 5 years
• Monitor, RAM, and MOBO are the parts I am still not sure about
• Prefer IPS over TN panels

Buy the monitor from B&H and save a boatload of money.

There's absolutely no reason to be paying that much of a premium.

 

Other than that, I think it looks pretty good. Personally I'd swap the SSD to a 1.1TB MX300.

I didn't notice until I clicked the link, but B&H quotes the TN version. He wants the IPS, which is actually more expensive to get from the US.

Yes 100MHz faster for ~20% more (using sites that actually have stock). Hardly a good buy for a system that will not be oc'd.
