I wanted to overclock my 1700x and downloaded and overdrive, every ime I start it up my pc runs into a crash error, I am now aware that amd master is the new overclocking software, is there any way of removing these files or will I have to do a clean install of Windows?

just overclock from the BIOS like you really should and dont use intermediary software.

Load up a Linux Live USB and try deleting the folder in C:\Program Files?

If it messed up the registry you might be stuck just reinstalling.

In any event make sure you toss a fan over your VRM, and likely don't go over 1.35V for daily use.

Ryzen Master is pretty alright, tweaking RAM is where it fails.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?
