How legit is Malwarebytes?

Asking because I'm on a brand new system and it feels like over the past week and a half it's been underperforming, and the only antimalware service I have is Windows defender. Is Malwarebytes(The free version) completely safe, reliable and okay to download and use? Also, if so, could someone pass me the official link?

And Malwarebytes.com is the correct site, right? A quick Google search showed about 5 results for Malwarebytes

I've never had any bad experiences with MalwareBytes. Its an exceptionally good free Anti Malware program in my opinion.

Usually official home page is the one to get it from. Sometimes they aren't names so obvious (like with Cinebench and CPU-Z/HWmonitor its company which makes them). Its as legit and good as CCleaner and like. I wouldn't advice using it as your only defense software.
