Why are you recommending the 8700 instead of the 8700K? The clockspeed difference makes a major improvement.

Without OC or MCE features in the picture, both at all (6) core boost shows maximum frequency of 4.3GHz, 1 core boost at 4.6 vs 4.7GHz in favour of 8700K, but that's just minor 100MHz improvement. As OP stated he didn't want to OC, 8700 proves better savings compared to 8700K.
