The 1700 is a mere 240 bucks so you can get

1700 $240

x370 prime pro $130

8gb ddr4 $70

$440 or so total leaving $70 for a decent cooler

Ive seen so many things that the 1700 is crap at gaming but im sure with optimization coming in following games what are your thoughts

Thanks for the reply

Intel fanboys like to say that.

Youre fine up to 120Hz, some games wont run at 144Hz and most at 240Hz.

I am gaming with stock 1600 and have no problems.

Don't buy Apple M1 computers with 8GB of RAM

what

is that a legit information

??

its pretty much confirmed, its just that amd doesn't want current cpu demand to drop you know,

the 10% figure is according to global foundries who makes the silicon dies themselves)

also when watching gaming reviews keep in mind that low resolution benchmarks only tell you about low resolution benchmarks, and that doesn't correlate much with performance after a few years with new games/ graphics card, its does give you some info that might be useful if you plan on gaming with 144hz monitors but other than that it isn't much helpful, as most of the time you will be gpu limited. (also something most benchmarks don't show is that usually ryzen has lower cpu utilization which means more cpu for multitasking)

just so you know in around february new ryzen cpus are going to come out with higher clocks (around 10%), which should be a good boost,(also keep in mind those wont have the same discounts ryzen 7 has right now) just fyi

Do you think that cpu game optimization for the current ryzen will still be implemented

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus has that.

Overwatch likes cores and threads too

It's actually great for gaming, my 1700 at 3.85ghz came very close to my 6700k at 4.6ghz

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

Oh good and in older titles how does it perform?

Decently, I don't really play anything older than the witcher 3 though.  Runs Skyrim nicely I suppose

Skyrim is VSynced because of the ancient engine

Thanks for the info, it's been ages since I last played.  Only game I ever ran into issues with was pubg, you really want to break 4ghz to get smooth gameplay there

PUBG is garbage xD I think so at least, it should use the same shitty engine as fo4 and since my Actually Hardcore Monitor Overclocking, i noticed it made the game run ever so slightly faster
