Hey guys.

I am sure, that I might asked in the past, but can't find the topic any way.

So I will ask again.

I bought the HyperX Beast 1600mhz 16GB, which said that can be overclocked to 2400 .

I did changed in bios the settings, to allow it to be overclocked, as well set it to 1866 .

It didn't give me any issues.

But latter when I tried to hit over 2000, for some reason , the PC just wouldn't start .

It would keep switch on and off.

Can any one please explain why ?

As well, is it possible that my mother board is not compatible , and this is the reason. But also, if it is not, how did it managed to do it before?

The reason I want it to be overclocked, is cause i bought it for this purpose.

(Though , at first i was sure, that it main speed it self is 2400 )

Any thoughts on this please?

You can't just set the frequency, you have to enable XMP, or set the memory timings manually in addition to the frequency.

@MageTank knows lots about RAM overclocking. his guide is in my sig, and you can also ask him directly if his guide doesn't help you.

the PC's not booting because the OC isn't stable. add more voltage, loosen timings, or just lower clockspeed. (in many cases, timings are as important or more important than clockspeed)

keep in mind that overclocking is never guaranteed.
