How is Dirt 4?

sauce-c

I'm thinking about picking this up from CD-Keys for like $26, anyone have any opinions on this game? Seems pretty good? I would just be playing it with a ps4 controller not a wheel.

I loved Dirt 2 and haven't been a real fan of the series since for a variety of reasons.  idk if you tried dirt rally but dirt 4 is a bit more game like, a bit less serious

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Ok at best, the stages is kinda meh imo and default setup is pretty boring. Not worth $26, maybe $15 or less. Try take a look at WRC7.

Dirt 4 is approachable with a controller. much so than the last game, Dirt Rally. however, in some ways it's a step back from Dirt Rally

- the procedural tracks don't work as well as you hoped. they're ok the first few times but you'll notice that they feel more and more alike. Sometimes with a strange flow. the venues from Dirt rally are way better

- some cars have weird physics

- game hasn't been updated in months

- multiplayer isn't great

- performance isn't the best codemasters has to offer.

- graphical bugs

- surprising attention to detail (like wrecked cars off side of road, very rare animal crossings, drones, spectators running out to take a photo, temporary co-pilot radio loss)
