Bitcoin Mining in 2017

I'm trying to get into Bitcoin mining, however, I need some help. Is it even worth it and how much would I need to invest to have a solid mining system?

Maybe look into other ways of making money, or using your computer to do something actually useful such as folding or boinc.

Was it yesterday or the day before, not sure now.  Bitcoin hit $10,000 USD.  It would take a lot of money, time, and equipment to get into it now.  Good luck.

Bitcoin mining has become incredibly difficult as it's value has risen. The only way it can really be profiting, is to spend a bunch of money on ASIC miners, and even then the profit isnt anything amazing. Most people mining cryptocurrency are mining ethereum , or other alternative coins, such as litecoin.

 

If only you could use an antminer on ethereum. The money you could make with the 14th/s hashrate of an S9, would be ungodly.

Does everything I do have to have a point? Some people enjoy imagining things. I understand the correlation between hashrate and difficulty, I literally was explaining how difficult mining bitcoin has become, right before I made the comment of how it would be nice to have a 14th/s rate while mining etherium.

Well it is not worth the effort as the electric bill in America is too expensive for you to make any profit.
