ok I need help on finding the right and correct power supply for this mother board cuz in the spec it requires 1x 24pin, 1x 8pin and 1x 4 pin, now ive been looking around but cant find a specific that have 4 pin by itself or am I just confused with something else?.....the total watts in the build that I'm blueprinting about is 816 watts

I would guess it requires 24pin + 6pin and then if you want to run some serious OC you need to plug in the extra 4pin

Most higher end ≥850W PSUs have two EPS connectors. You can usually split up one of them into 4+4. What are the actual specs you're planning?

Are you sure you want a 7800x and not an 8700k? I would also probably go for 4x16gb RAM instead.

 

As well, the sound card is a bit of a waste of money; the sound built in to most motherboards is already good enough for nearly everyone. That money would be better spent on something like a 7820x (if you need more cores).

 

Seeing as you're going super overkill anyways, I would go with something like this psu.

@DocSwag where u see 8700k at? and sound card has 7.1 surround, for the ram i havent find any rams that 4 x16gb at 3200 except the G.Skill Trident Z but the price is little higher than the ones i chosen, for the cpu now i could choose the 7820X if i didnt want the sound card, but if ur opinion is saying that the onboard sound are better than 7.1 that ill consider substituting it for that 7820X

It+mobo is cheaper.

 

I'm not saying mobo sound is better but it's close enough that it doesn't matter and the price isn't worth it IMO

hmm let me see what the build gonna look like in the blue print and ill see how that goes. i can say this from what i thought is thats the X299 is better, according to alot of review sources.

In what ways?

 

The main ways X299 is better is in pcie lanes and memory channels. I doubt you need the extra pcie lanes and quad channel doesn't really matter.

 

On the other hand an 8700k can OC higher than a 7800x and is also better for gaming due to the mesh architecture and victim cache on Skylake-X not seeming to be great for gaming.

 

For gaming, an 8700k is better. A 7800x only makes sense now in a few very niche scenarios.
