If I'm thinking of the right component, you can grab a metal rod slightly smaller than the extruder and feeding it through the nozzle while it's hot.

What do you mean both ways? It looks like the material is being grabbed by the feeder. If you open up repetier host, can you move the feeder through that? (keep in mind printers wont move the feeder unless the hotend is at temperature.

I mean ive positioned the filament roll both ways around like you suggested. im sorry whats the repetier host? xyz has a pre determined loading sequence where the hot end heats and then it pulls the filament through. works like a charm normally but right now its not

Repetier host is a slicer and printer control software. It's pretty neat, I use it for my robotics club's printer, but I stick with Cura for my own. Anyway, use it because it will let you control all the functions of the machine manually over usb.

 

The thing about the filament is for when you get it feeding.
