CPU Temp Spike

Stages

Hey guys, recently my cpu temps have been spiking up and down in idle mod or when i'm just on google chrome etc. Goes from 36c to sometimes almost 50c which is weird. The voltage also goes to 1.41v or 1.40v.

Is everything okay or should i be worried? I am running the frequency at 3.75mhz and load is usually around 5-8% in these situations.

I am using Corsair Link to monitor and that is the oc details nothing special. The voltage goes to 1.4v frequency set at 3750mhz

You forgot to write your specs and which processor. I saw in your other threads that you probably have a ryzen 1600, in which case it is totaly normal for temps spiking like that. If you want more consistent temps disable turbo boost in bios

Spikes like that are not weird at all. It simply means that there are some stuff running in background that sometimes require more CPU power ---> higher temps for a bit.

Now it depends what CPU are you using ... if it's Intel 3rd generation or above, anything under 80°C is considered within safe limits.

You should rather test what is your temp after running aida64 or prime95.

Intel i7 12700K | Gigabyte Z690 Gaming X DDR4 | Pure Loop 240mm | G.Skill 3200MHz 32GB CL14 | CM V850 G2 | RTX 3070 Phoenix | Lian Li O11 Air mini

Samsung EVO 960 M.2 250GB | Samsung EVO 860 PRO 512GB | 4x Be Quiet! Silent Wings 140mm fans
