Hello,

 

I need an SSD that would work with my system. I have a budget of $100.00 and it would just be for Windows 10 to run/boot on. Please let me know which one you guys recommend and how I should install Windows 10 on the SSD alone.

 

Relevant PC Specs:

    CPU: Intel i7 6700K

    MOBO: Asus Z170-A

    PSU: Corsair 750W Semi-Modular

    HDD(s): WD 1TB Blue 7200RPM (2x)

BTW, I prefer if it can be purchased on Amazon.com (US) since I am a Prime member.

what size m.2/ 2.5 but yeah I would go with the Samsung Evo line if you have the cash go with the EVO 960 line it gets pricey but the r/w speeds can be blazing. also at a lower price range WD black  is good

I use Corsair SSDs... Probably not the most performing, but they stand behind their products!

I had an SSD fail this year that I bought back in early 2012 and it was way outside warranty period. Since it was in a Raid 5 array and the 2 other drives were alright, corsair accepted the RMA without questionning and sent me a brand new drive, double the size and performance as the original...

 

It might not be the fastest drives in the west, but reliability and standing behind their products will ensure them that I will always buy this brand over other ones.

If it has been done before, I can do it...

If it has never been done, just leave me some time to find a way!
